Port Olimpic - Where The Games Were Held.

Each year around, Jan twenty-one, you can like this week-long celebration of traditional Hawaiian sports competitions.

Starting in mid-January its purpose is to save and promote Chinese culture and conventions. There's the Narcissus Queen Festival , Coronation Ball, Chinatown Open House, folks dances and a Fashion Show. This is fun for the surfing fans and anyone that enjoys good outside competition.

In 1992, the Olympic Games were held in Barcelona, Spain, exposing most of the planet for the 1st time to the colourful, well off town that had grown here over time.

It has fantastic perspectives of the Mediterranean, Barcelona, and the mountains behind the town. The only thing to recollect : get a room facing away from the dives or high up in the building.

Or you can walk down the Ramblas and select from many little cafes.

With a handsome port looking out onto the Mediterranean, Port Olimpic is an example of the more pleasurable places in Europe to hire a speedboat and just tool around for the day. Lasting thru March there's much to see. Some highlights are the Japanese tea rite, Heritage Fair at the Japanese Cultural middle of Hawaii, and flower preparing demonstrations.
